The option to cast onto the TV will automatically appear on compliant devices that are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Smarter TV. There are no settings that need to be adjusted or any additional set up that must be performed for this to happen.
Compliant devices include most new Apple and Android phones and Chrome for Apple and Windows, although Chromecast is only available for specific apps or services on each individual platform.
Please ensure that your TV is connected to Wi-FI. Upon the first setup for your TV, you would have been prompted to connect to your local Wi-Fi.
If the TV has not been connected to the Wi-Fi, please navigate to the network settings from the Settings menu located on the homepage. Ensuring Wi-Fi is turned on, the TV will automatically find available networks.
Once the TV has been connected to the same Wi-Fi, casting onto the TV through Chromecast is as easy as pressing the ‘cast button’ on app or service you want to cast.
The cast button on each app or service will look the same, an example of this is shown below.
Any app or service that you see that has this icon should be able to be cast onto your Smarter TV.
Furthermore, you can cast whatever is on the screen of your Android phone by simply swiping down from the top to enter the taskbar and then selecting ‘Cast’.
